I finally got round to recording a flip through my watercolour book. This book travelled across the world with me and I would spend my time in pubs and cafes drawing and painting the places I’ve been. This was such a great way to slow down and really experience and appreciate the beautiful places, even when my picture couldn’t capture the muchness of it all.

I also haven’t used watercolour paints that much before, so it was exciting to explore a new medium and see my skill with it grow as I continued to paint!

I definitely started the #patternchallengebymel at the beginning of August and couldn’t keep up 😅 But here are the ones i did get done - the prompts were #1 Twinkle, #2 Blob and #3 Float.

I haven’t made patterns before so this was really fun!!!

This lady is overgrown - Disappearing yet becoming more known.
Submerged in nature - dirty and tangled - she bears new flowers.
Raw beauty - her own.

I'm calling it 'Getting lost in the sound' and tried to capture that feeling of being suddenly overwhelmed. This is a collage made from millions of itty bitty pieces of paper!

Today I wore my orange crochet earrings! I have recently been making lots of fun earrings just to wear around the place and to match my outfits :3

We have a resident COVID infected person and I've suddenly found myself with lots of time of at home 🙃 So if any one would love some fruit / vege inspired crocheted earrings hit me up! I have a bit of time to kill 🤷‍♀️

Summer project with dad! I wood turned my own candle stick holders. This was out of a beautiful red wood, with some small bits of bark kept exposed around the base. It was so much fun to be using my hands in a different way to create some practical.
